My experience with Minifactory has been quite positive. I am able to print at low cost my 3D-modeled sculptures to PLA.
My 3D-models can be quite complicated, but with Netfabb I have been able to repair most mesh problems.
I found out that Leapfrog is building bigger 3D-printers for home printing.
So, now I am 3D-printing with Leapfrog Creatr XL Dual extruder bigger printer bigger objects. Firmware to G-Code is Simplify 3D.
After my first print I almost destroyed printer. Simplify 3D's G-Code ends with moving z-axel to home, so Leapfrog lifted printed object strait to extruder! Nothing broke but what a start.
Leapfrog needs so tuning to print well. Firstly, the filament won't roll easily from the bottom of the machine. I put filament rolls outside the machine and keep rolls in vertical position. Changing filament is difficult, every time I change filament it rolls to fans etc. To correctly guide filament to extruder I have to quite often take fans off!
